Well......Where do I begin?
This page hasn't seen updates in awhile, due to MANY computer troubles, email troubles, and a nasty virus or two was involved.
I finally got it under control (FOR NOW) and all is well. I'm still in business, and right now everything is in dormancy in the greenhouse. I hope to update a few sections in the next week, mainly the "For Sale" section.
I lost many email addresses, so if you were trying to get a hold of me, or wish to - please try jharden@carnivorous-kingdom.com

Well, I'm finally back in town, things have calmed down a little. I'm busy playing catch-up at work, and I have 70+ pictures to add here. It's going to take awhile.
May 5th, 2000
I lost ALL email. This includes all pending sales from this week, and all email conversations, and all email adresses. Please, if we had something pending, I know who you are, but I have no way to contact you! Forward the last message we had going to jharden@carnivorous-kingdom.com
What happened you ask? KAK.HTM and ILOVEYOU Virus all in one week. OUCH!

Well, things are warming up again! I'm starting to ship plants to warm climates now, and already sent a few to California & Florida. Most of the plants that were damaged from my faulty heater actually came back full-swing, and put out new leaves. Below are some pictures of my greenhouse table, and a few pictures of the stock I have for sale

I have Two Drosera for sale : D. adalae & D. spathulata. As I stated before, I really don't want to ship them to anyone north of Texas until May, but anyone in warmer climates can get them right away.
March 21, 2000
I've been busy with work, which is why the Drosera section & Gallery are still in shambles. I hope to get working on it again. The Sarracenia x 'Dixie Lace' are some nice young plants, they defiantly grow more leaves in a shorter amount of time than the other Sarracenias. I also should have some Drosera adaleae and spathulata for sale in a few months. Sorry, no more Nepenthes.

I finally got the Counters working everywhere, so now I'll know if anyone visits this site besides me. I can't get Front Page 2000 to install a Search Form correctly, so I got a search engine installed thanks to www.atomz.com Try it out if you are looking for anything in particular, I found it extremely useful.
I took four of my Cobra Lilies out of dormancy; seems one didn't make it due to fungus. If anyone has advice about putting your plants into dormancy, please share it.

Since Winter is Flip-Flopping all over the U.S., I'm not going to ship anything until Spring. Better safe than sorry.
I have done TON of updates all around the site: fixed the frames-links, made thumbnails for all photos for each page, and actually consolidated all the pictures onto one page at the Gallery! All that's left is fix my Logo at the top. I got a new digital camcorder last week, and it can zoom in very well on plants, so expect a slew of great pictures this summer! Here's two pictures that I'm excited about:
I purchased a Reverse Osmosis Unit Last night at Sam's. I put up some information about it under my Greenhouse Section.
I also like to warn anyone about Trespassing -- Sgt. Rocko here is an example of what could happen to YOU!

I got my hands on Adobe Acrobat 4.0, which is very neat. I scanned Allen Lowrie's 99-2000 pricelist in. The 16 pages are high quality, and come out to 800k. You can view it by clicking here, but make sure you have Adobe Acrobat Reader (which is free) from www.adobe.com .

I changed things around a bit, made more room for the main window. I think I fixed all links so that they open in the correct window, please tell me if you find otherwise.
January 14, 2000
I now have some plants for sale! Venus Fly Traps, Australian Pitcher Plants, and American Pitcher Plants can be found in the For Sale Section. I also can get Very High Output Fluorescent Light Ballast and Bulbs if anyone is searching for them. I have set up a small section about my Greenhouse for those interested.

Well, the end of the world was postponed I guess. I got some bad news, but some personal good news. Bad news is a faulty heater in my greenhouse cooked many of my plants, so I won't be able to sell anything for awhile. But for good news, Phill Mann had an auction for Carnivorous Plants of Australia Volume 1 & 2 on the CP-Listserv, and I won! I now am the proud owner of Carnivorous Plants of Australia, Volumes 1-3 in Hardcover! If that wasn't good enough, Volume 2 is signed by Allen Lowrie himself.

Did you know the Dionaea family
went on a vacation?
December 7, 1999
I've moved to Carnivorous-Kingdom.com (if you really didn't notice). I have really cleaned up the Grow-Cp's Section, only things missing are plant groups I don't have any information on yet. If you see anything wrong, just tell me.

My Greenhouse is done, I just need some plants. Yes, the table on the right is my ENTIRE outdoor collection as of November 15th (I started dividing some plants, and now I have four tables). I'm already in the process of doing some heavy propagation, and should open for business early next year. Check out the FOR SALE for what to expect.
Since I'm going to open for business, I have been cleaning up this site. Proofreading, editing, dusting, etc etc. At someone's request, I lowered the font size down, if you find it hard to read, let me know. I think it's OK. Some other changes included : Adding pictures of the CP Books I own in the Sources Section, Cleaning up the Grow CP's section, Cleaned up the Other Sites. The Growing Cp's Section will take the longest, but I'm going to make sure I finalize any sections that include plants I'll sell. Also, I have added a section from my old page, The Texas Black Flower. I have finally found out what exactly it was -- even though it's not carnivorous, it's another odd plant I have.
October 1, 1999
Well, I got some seeds in from Cambrian Carnivores. Drosophyllum, Heliamphora, Drosera regia, and Byblis gigantea...wish me luck.
I received my Nepenthes x cocciena from Charlie Cook's Inc. in Florida. WOW! They were as great as the one I brought home from the Trade show. I'll have some good photos soon. Best yet, they have some good pitchers that I hope I don't lose this time around.
Also, I visited the San Antonio Botanical Gardens. They actually have a few CP! Check out my few and low-quality pictures.
Last but not least, I have gathered enough materials to build a nice size greenhouse. I'm getting all my information together, taking suggestions, and hope to break ground in about a month. David Holgiun, who lives several miles from me, grows several lowland Nepenthes & Drosera outside under a tree, so I feel confident about putting a couple hundred dollars worth of plants outside now. Next spring, I'll be buying A LOT of plants, so my Grow List should explode!
September 21 1999.
Here is Allen Lowrie's Pricelist, I scanned it in page by page.
Well, I added a button for my sources. I also have started proofreading and finalizing all the information under "Growing CP's" before I go further. I type faster than I read, and easily make mistakes. I got some Red Form Drosera Capensis from the ICPS seed bank, and they have germinated! Woo-Hoo! Hopefully, the Drosera regia (King Sundew) I'm getting from Cambrian Carnivores will be as easy.
Last but not least, check out what I've been up to for my ICPS web-ring link below. I got bored at work, and thought I would dabble in it. It's actually very easy to make!
August 25th 1999
I got a new title. There are several pages with "(Insert name here)'s Carnivorous Plants", and I didn't want to blend in with them... so here I am with a new name.
August 15th
There is a stunning Venus Fly Trap photo in August Newsweek, page 15. There is a small cropped photo as www.storagetek.com/edge Check it out! (Or look below for a scanned image...I could NOT resist)
Also, I have plants (VERY Few) to trade. Plus, if anyone cares, my ICQ at work is 44021720 and at home (seldom online there) 442571
August 10th 1999
I got an ultrasonic fogger yesterday...I'm not satisfied. It doesn't fog up my 50 gallon terrarium at all well, so I may just purchase a ultrasonic humidifier, and have it connect to all three terrariums. Also, now that I'm back from Dallas, I noticed my plants under the Halide light are putting out new growth that isn't burned! This means 250 watts 3 feet above the plants is tolerable! Go to my Grow List and Terrariums to see the light.
For those that read I have a new Nepenthes x coccinea and want to see the picture, here it is, email me if you want one, I expect them in the third week of September. I have NO clue how to ship them yet, and I'll sell them or trade them! Nepenthes x coccinea is a lowland hybrid.
