The Birth of GamersCharity.com

NOTICE

Do not be alarmed. I control the Horizontal, and the Vertical. I can deluge you with lots of fancy words and big honking paragraphs. I can show you one single hyperlink, or tons of spam. I am taking you to....a cheesy knock off of the Outer Limits introduction.

Anyway.

Due to legal issues, the Ultima Online Red Cross Donations are no longer hosted on this website - CrazyJoe.US.

Please go to it's new home, at Http://www.gamerscharity.com

It is still me folks, It's just Legal Issues now. Read all about it there.

That is all.

Keep watching the skies!

Ultima Online : Red Cross Donation Houses Update!

Feel Free to Use this Image!
Donate Directly!

A few days ago I established two Red Cross Donation Houses on two Ultima Online servers to raise virtual gold to sell on Ebay, and donate all proceeds to Red Cross. It's just a few days later and I am overwhelmed with the support I have received. I now have donation houses and vendors at 19 locations spread across 16 servers.

First question to answer - "Who am I?". Better yet, "How do we know this isn't a scam?"
My real name is Joe, but people call me Crazy Joe - and have done so since I was a teenager. I am 30 years old, have two kids, 3 dogs, one wife, and proudly going bald. I am well known at Stratics , where I have been a Forum Administrator for over Four Years. It is thanks to the volunteer work I do at Stratics that my name is pretty well known in the Ultima Online Community. I honestly have Stratics to thank for the name recognition on the internet. I have personally played Ultima Online for a little over four years.

All my auctions are with my paypal verified account. That means anyone that buys from me finds out alot about me, so if this was a scam you can come get me. I love volunteering at Stratics, they will not doubt hang me if I was scamming. Electronic Arts/Origin Systems Inc. are very much aware of what I am doing, I personally spoke to Anthony "Sunsword" Castoro about it. I am positive if they caught wind this is a scam, all my accounts would be closed. Actually, I hereby give persmission to Sunsword to close my accounts for investigation if enough fishy evidence comes up. I understand everyone's fears and do my best to squash them.

Third, I am not some bastard that will exploit the Tsunami Disaster. I don't eat puppies nor run over baby ducks, take my word for it.

Forth, I put my money where my faith is. I have already donated $3,000, while sitting on a virtual nest egg of $1,500. Here is a scan of my printed receipt from Red Cross Website. In a month I can post the credit card bill. Click on the image to enlarge it if you like. If these auctions net more than $3,000 then I will make another donation. If we don't make $3,000 - the remainder is my personal donation.

What more can I say to gain your trust ? :)

Anyone that wishes to contact me, my Email is CrazyJoe@CrazyJoe.us. My ICQ is 442571. AIM CarnivorousJoe

How can you donate?
Well, this donation drive is in Ultima Online. You need to be a player of Ultima Online, otherwise you can donate by going to Red Cross Website. I have vendors on all Non-Asian servers of Ultima Online, you simply buy the 'junk' I am selling at crazy-high prices. You aren't 'buying' junk, you are making a donation. In some cases people have donated items to me that have actual value, and they will be on the vendors. Many houses also have piles of gold locked down - you simply need to drop your gold on the pile. Each pile can only hold 60,000 gold. If you just really want to trust me with your money, click the "Donate" Paypal button at the top.

You can also be totally sure to donate to me and not an imposter by contacting me. Email is CrazyJoe@CrazyJoe.us. My ICQ is 442571. AIM CarnivorousJoe. MSN CrazyJoe@Crazyjoe.us.

Next, to REALLY Donate you need to buy my auctions for the virtual gold and goods at Ebay --check my auctions!

What's the Status?

I have two threads that I post all updates to : UO Stratics UO Hall and at my personal website. You must register an account to post on either one.

I update my spreadsheet every time I add something to Ebay or when I get time to update the end of auctions, see it here.

Something that has caught me offguard is Press Coverage! RPGamer , TheComicFanatic, and MMORPG.Com . I was also seen on MSNBC TV-Channel. (Wow!)

Why were all your Ebay Auctions Pulled?

First off - let me be VERY CLEAR : I agree with Ebay, my auctions had to be pulled. Now the Explaination.

However, your listing(s) was in violation of eBay's listing policies. We would like to take this opportunity to let you know what part of your listing(s) is not allowed.

eBay encourages community members to be active in supporting charitable endeavors. Because charitable fundraising is a highly regulated area subject to numerous state and federal laws, eBay has partnered with MissionFish to make charitable listing easy and has created very specific guidelines for when charitable solicitations will be allowed on eBay.

Non-MissionFish listings

1. Sellers may only list items on behalf of a charity if the charity has provided advance written consent for the solicitation. To prove that you have obtained that consent, you must include a scanned copy of the consent in the listing.
2. Sellers may only solicit on behalf of recognized 501c3 or 501c4 charitable organizations.

MissionFish listings

1. Sellers may only list items via MissionFish on eBay that meet the MissionFish listing guidelines, including the guidelines designed to obtain advance consent from the charities.
2. Sellers may only solicit on behalf of recognized 501c3 or 501c4 charitable organizations.

That is NOT all :

Additionally, our Links and Credits guidelines state the following:

"eBay allows sellers to place the following types of links in your item's description:

- One link to a page that further describes the item being sold in that listing.
- One link to your email address that opens an email client for potential bidders to ask questions about the item in that listing
- Links to photos of the item for sale.
- Links to your eBay or Half.com listings.
- One link to your About Me page (in addition to the About Me icon already provided by eBay).
- Links that provide credits to third parties.
If you have a logo for any of these links, it may be no greater than 88x33 pixels. (Exception - links to your eBay or Half.com listings).

Translation : There are real scum of the earth out there that will lie and say their auctions are for Charity and they are not - we make sure they don't do that by having you verify this with the charity you donate to OR by letting US donate for you. Also, you can not mislead the buyer by linking off-site to the same information that we forbide on E-bay.

They have a very solid point. So, I am totally redoing my auction description to omit any reference to Red Cross or any Charity and I can NOT link to my homepage.

The FOLLOWING is the template of MY Auctions that are by "J-HARDEN"

Auction Titles : ## Gold on [SERVER] UO by Crazy Joe

Auction Subject :

Where do we donate ?

To any that Play Ultima Online, these are the Legitimate Vendors run personally by me as listed below. Ultima Online : Red Cross Donation Houses

Quick Link to Forum Thread

I know I am not the only Ultima Online player that is emotionally torn watching the news lately. The Tsunami has killed over 120,000 people as of Dec 31, 2004 and the amount of finacial help is of course, staggering.

I know many ask what they can do to help, and are overwhelmed at the choices and avenues to take. So, for simplicity sake, I have established two Red Cross Donation houses on the Origin and Siege Perilous Shards. Anyone can simply drop gold onto one of the 153 piles I have locked down, and I will Ebay the gold (Current Rate is $35 per million for Origin and $15 for Siege), and send it straight to Red Cross.

I'll keep updates coming on my personal forums and UO Stratics Forums.

Click here to check my Current Ebay Auctions. Again, any and all gold will be Ebayed, and all proceeds go directly to Red Cross. I'll save receipts and post scans of them to ease any skepticism.

Origin Shard
City of Luna

Siege Perilous Shard
City of Serpents Hold
Permanent Moongate to Serpents Hold is located in front of Castle in Britain.

Hello to the Comment Spammers

grandma.jpg Grandma here has a message just for those people that I bet don't even read this website, they just found the URL and run a script to spam my comments with crap like enlarging the penis, playing the casinos, finding the nude grannies, and whatever other crap you spewed onto my blog in the old version, you won Round 1.
I dumped the entire comments database, and lost maybe 5-6 REAL commments (how sad is this site!) and almost 1,000 of your spam comments were wiped instantly. I am not really so confused over how much crap was in my comments, but then how poorly written it was and disorganized. You must think some people will entrust their sexual organs to someone who honestly can't even spell every other word right, in addition to the insults you left in the same comment! Honestly, if you want to spam and make money, you need to take a few courses in Marketing.
Anyway...
Say Hello to the new Movable Type Version! None of your crap shows up, and it's easily deleted from Queue. Now, I bet it will take like 6 months to get back those few comments I actually lost.

Cowsmopolitan.com Reform!

newsicon.jpg Thanks to the move to the new host, I can have other domains under this one account. First one to get a revamp, is Cowsmo. Which according to my calendar, is a few months behind on a new Issue! However, to compensate for lack of issues, look forward to the new Cowsmo...in Blog Form! Since this is finally looking like it will get attention again, and I'm getting Emails about the next issue, I guess I have no choice but waste more valuable time of my life to get it going again. I hope to have a third issue out by the end of the year.

Slowing Getting things back online!

The past week has been crazy. My Host decided to move onto bigger and better things, and I had to find a new one. The one thing killing me with finding a new host was my site was 850 megs, and most of the great host I found and got referred to simply would not host something of that size for just $10 a month.

Then I found Dreamhost.com, for $15 a month and two year committment (with 91 day money back gaurantee) I get 2,500 megs of space and 15 unique hosted domains! Anyone that knows me remembers I am a domain junkie - so it's irony I own EXACTLY 15 domains.

So after a week of crazy uploading and fixing, I seem to be back online. Email is working (with new Razor Spam Filtering, no more spam!), multiple domains is working (Cowsmo, SexyGeek, Carnivorous-Kingdom slowly getting off the crazyjoe.us/subdirectory area), my forums and Gallery are now back online, and I actually upgraded this Blog to get rid of the damn Comment Spam. (as if anyone other than the spammer comments).

So that's the news.

Next on the agenda - get ads on Sexy-Geek.com (or give up trying) and then redo Cowsmopolitan from the ground up, I think I'll turn it into a Blog, and I got a co-author dying to help out.

I knew this was going to happen

A month or two ago, I was really bored. So, I was looking for yet another Domain Name to register. Well, I love Porn. Hey, I love Legos. Let's combine the two! I registered http://www.lego-porn.com. Why? Because Http://www.legoporn.com was taken and it was a REAL Porn Site.
I felt good, I got a domain name that nobody else thought of! I already started to build lego porn for the site, much to the disgust of my wife.

Well, all that came to a close today.

Crazy Joe < LegoŠ
I honestly knew this was going to happen, however I thought it would be after the site was made PUBLIC. It's not even halfway finished yet, and LEGOŠ already is making me not only take the site down, but not own the domain name. I guess this explains why it was available. Second, legoporn.com the REAL porn site is already taken down.

The LEGOŠ names will be removed, and I cant fight so many damn lawyers that are listed in the left margin, however the pics will be used for something yet!

Bitch or Make fun of me on the forums!

Sexy Geek Upgraded!

Well, it's taken me forever but I finally got I-rater to do some custom work, and some fixes, and the new version of Sexy-Geek.com is online! Folks are already Emailing me and ICQing me "WHY DID YOU UPGRADE IT!" Well, here's some reasons:
1.) In the old version, if you copy and paste the URL in the top Address Bar and send it to a friend, that URL had the username and password of the sender encoded in there. Pretty damn serious little security flaw if you ask me, I got a few folks that were nice enough to tell me about it instead of abuse it. The new version uses cookies, which will ensure that doesn't happen anymore.
2.) Private Message System in the old one SUCKS, I don't even have to explain to anyone that used it on why it sucked. The new one is much better.
3.) Administrative Flexibility. This is something none of the users saw, just myself. However, with 100 members the old system was fine, but with 454 members, I can't edit any members that are 'in the middle', as the menu for me to select users to edit could not fit them all in one screen. Sexy-Geek got too big for what the other version was built for.
4.) Easier Rate system. It's all on one screen now - the Picture, The Rate Bar, The Bio, The Comments. That's only thanks to the custom work I had I-rater fix for me, but it wasn't to begin with is which why I did NOT use this version first.
5.) In the old version, folks found out you could change your background, add sounds etc. All fun and games, but that also meant someone would be able to add some mean nasty code to their bio, and screw up other people's systems. That is now fixed before it got abused.

There's some other reasons, however I think I listed the most important reasons I had to upgrade. There is NO going back, as the custom work needed for the other version would very well cost too much.

Now, I know there's some things I want fixed in this new version. First off, I need a Header! Second, the "view comments" is sloppy. Third, I want some 'button's on the site menu rather than plain cheesy text. That's the things that I THINK I can fix myself - the rest I won't even mention since I know it's not happening.

Anyone that wants to help me pay for the expenses I went through can always register an email forwarding from Sexy Geek - yourname@sexy-geek.com. You know you want it.

Sexy Geek Improved

After three hours reading "PHP and MySQL for Dummies" and three nights picking apart some of the code, I have eliminated the "Anonymous Bastard" from leaving comments and voting.
Next up - and I'm very close - is banning users.

Sexy Geek Rumor Abound!

kissy.jpg So I got this ICQ the other day. The person said that they hate to spread gossip, but two folks met each other over Sexy-Geek.com and now have some sort of online relationship going on. Well, they are quite a trustworthy friend as they would not tell me any names, so I can't confirm it! But with Valentines Day on the horizon, I gotta know if I played Cupid for someone dagnabit! So whoever you are, confirm it with me already!
Don't worry, there's no charge for my services, however I would love to just get a few details about it - after all you two lovebird owe me !

Cowsmopolitan.com Second Issue!

Better late than never, I have finished the second issue of Cowsmopolitan! Thanks to those folks that helped me out most of all, without them I would only make this once a year.

Uploaded a few more Strips

I've been busy with work, however I get to stay up late on Saturdays and draw. I have uploaded a few more Strips of mine; I'm not pleased with three of them, but may redraw them into a Sunday Format when I get some larger paper. OH well, I'm still trying to get the hang of things before I decided to really draw some strips for syndication submission.

Enjoy

Sexy-Geek Anti-Cheat code...fixed?

I'm told it is. I reset all scores, which default is 1 (it's how the system works). Anyone that is bored, please test it out and see if you can cheat, if so, I need to know so I can write I-rater back!

Sexy-Geek.com online

Yet another domain name set to good use, this time it's http://www.sexy-geek.com. I am actually pretty damn proud of this, because I bought the software for it (Irater.com) and after many failed attempts (and badgering my host for advice) I was able to figure out how to install it! I am such a geek now.

Anyway, check it out, and please report any bugs to my email CrazyJoe @ crazyjoe.us

Two New "Networks" at CrazyJoe.US

I'm such a domain junkie.
After 20 minutes and over 50 tries, I found a URL that was available I could NOT pass up to buy, so $8 later I now own Http://www.dontfuckingcare.com. Simple webpage off CrazyJoe.US subdirectory, however I love the fact my email is now CrazyJoe@dontfuckingcare.com

Then thanks go out to Sarsmi for making me laugh with the introduction of "Lazy University". I loved it so much, I registered Http://www.lazyuniversity.com, and have set up a blog just for her. That's how lazy she is - I did almost all the work. If she wants her own host, she'll have to pay for it.
Enjoy.

New Toon!

Based on a Real Life Experience as well. Since I got a Gallery finally installed, you can find it there. Enjoy

Speaking of Real Life Experiences, expect new toons about my problems with my dogs and neighbors. Short and Sweet of it is my dogs need Eyedrops, and they hate eyedrops, and after pinning down the dogs and wrestling them to get this done, my neighbors are calling the authorities on me.

Finally got some huevos to risk a Gallery. Good news is it's directly tied in with the Forums - as long as you're registered on the forums you can see the Humor Images, otherwise you'll see quite a bit less. Check it out, report any bugs you find PLEASE! Link to the Gallery

The Chef

The chef was by far the easiest new introduction. The Armadillo though isn't a new introduction for me at all, he's much more than a gag - he showed up in my published works back in Lubbock. Only problem with him is I forgot how to draw him a bit. After I drew him a few times in dismay of trying to recapture him, I dug up some of my old stuff to try and rejog the memory.
Well, who's next....time will tell. I still got a few more characters for this unnamed strip to figure out before I start drawing them for real print publication. Anyway, see him here.

More Jasmine

Well, someone went swimming today in the back pond and wasn't allowed to come back in the office. So, she went to the nearest available cart, and decided to dry off the natural way. What was funny was about a dozen of the employees just stopped to grin at her. Hard to believe that some ass dumped her in our parking lot, they had a fine dog.
There's a full size picture and one where she woke up getting her picture taken here.

My first Strip in over 5 Years

Well, every large journey starts with a single step. Any hope I have of getting published again starts with stripping...and I'm not talking about taking off my clothes - I'm talking cartoon stripping.
If you haven't seen the Thread yet - I started drawing a Bovine - and ended up throwing him into a cartoon in the end. Enjoy.

Enter : Ilean Dover

While I was sick this weekend, the African Multi Millionare that needs my help sent me a Legal Document with Ben Dovers Bank Transfer information, and they are really desperate to get $5,000 from Ben so the Transfer can take place.
Of course now the scam is clear. However, lets see how long I can keep him on the hook - say hello to Ben's sister, Ilean!

Added a new section on the Left Side.
For those familiar with "David Idahosa", you'll be happy to know I'm at it again! This time with Yakuba Foude. The Dialectizer is a really fun site, and is making this a bit more fun than David Idahosa. I'll keep updating that page as I get more replies from him!

The Premier Issue of Cowsmopolitan!

I wanted to do more, but hey, it's the FIRST issue. So, the dice roll. I finished up a few more columns, removed the Hints from Heifer that I just couldn't get to work right, and we had enough Ask Petunia (REAL questions I got in email by the way) to the point I was comfortable saying this was the first issue.

I'm still undecided if I want a whole new host for it, or just let it piggy back off Crazyjoe.us. Either way - the next project is going to be the forums - I have investigated Invision and think it will be more stable - installing it next week.

For now, I gotta find out why my work computer seems like it has a virus but nothing is showing up, and my home computer had the board and chip fried - waiting to hear the estimate to get that fixed. Good news is I sold $120 of UO Gold on Ebay to start paying for this.

Well Screw It.

Tim Allen said once, "If it's not broke, there's still a way to fix it."

Well, that describes me around the house and with this damn page. Here I am fiddling with layout of this thing, when it already 'works'. MAME and Carnivorous links are not working just right, plus I need to finish Cowsmo.
So, don't expect this page to change format again till I finish my content layout.
