I am not great with names, so I will just throw dummy names out

The PC that dies is "Bob"
The Etheral Demon, if it gets a name is "IRS"
The PC That summoned IRS to kill Bob that dies is "Fred"

The main EM, mio, is Joe for now. All names of course need to be changed.

Part 1: The Dinner

A GM will setup a banquete area somewhere with a lot of open space. Ideas involve Nujelm Palace, Brittian Fields, or wherver. There will also be abittar at the Hedgemaze with four pentegrams around it. Gate's will be neaded from the banquet area to the Hedgemaze that appear during the story line.

So there's a Banquet going on. Bob, whom the public will believe is the EM, will just chit chat with the natives and interact, giving no real hint at first that it's an event ready to start. After 20-30 minutes of chatting, or the crowd gets too unbearable, a Lord of the Abyss shaded like a Shadow Wyrm named IRS appears apprubtly.

(I stink with Dialoge, I'm pulling this out off the top of my head)

IRS : You are Bob are you not?
Bob : I am, what manner of beast are you?
IRS : I am your executioner, summoned by my Master Fred whom that
Bob : Fred? This is not possible, he is bound to me and would not harm me.
IRS : Master Fred may not harm you. Nor will he harm you. That is why I have been summoned
Bob : This is not possible! Leave here now before
IRS : * Attacks *
(Now I assume this is starting off in a guard zone, at which point may be best if Bob screams "I refuse to endanger these people!" and Opens a gate to a field outside of the guard zone. He warns the people to not follow, and tells IRS to follow him if he dares)
The Demon stands still and mocks Bob. "Fool, You can not harm the likes of me", "Is that the best you can do?" "You are only waste your last few precious moments of life"
The public is welcome to attack IRS, but will find their spells do no damage. IRS Will only kill a few players that continue to waste their time trying to kill him mocking them "I am not here for you worm, begone", "I didn't come for you, but if you insist", etc.
Meanwhile Bob starts to get confused, and loses confidance "What manner of demon are you, my spells do nothing. Their swords repel off you.What is going on"
Finally IRS Starts to attack Bob. Bob cries to the public to keep him healed while he tries to fend him off. Hopefully some players heal and cure but Bob will fall. The body of Bob disappears when IRS walks over it, and claims "My Task is complete Fred! have what you ask for..."

Joe shows up. "What the...."
IRS "Begone Wizard, I have what I came for and will be leaving now
Joe Drop that body, and explain your purpose here
IRS : You are not my master" and begins to Fly away
Joe throws some words out, the lighting strikes IRS "I RELEASE YOU FROM YOUR TASK"
IRS Stops, turns, "Are you Sure you know what your doing old man? Do you know what you allowing?
Joe Throws more words out, more lighting "I RELEASE YOU FROM YOUR TASK"
IRS Flames engulf him and he disappears.

Joe walks around mumbling. "This is not possible. I haven't seen on ever, no wizard in my time has. Not Possible!"

He ask the public if they caught his name. If they knew what he said. Keeps mumbling how this is not possible and none have been seen for decades He finally asked if anyone caught the name of the Master he spoke of, acts shocked.. He thanks the public for their help, and tells them he must go meet with Mages around the land, and everyone that wishes to help should meet up at the Yew Courthouses in 1-2 days time.

Part 2 : The Summoner

GM sets up the Trial Room at Yew Courthouse with bones on a table, a parchment labeled "life debt", and a Prisoner in a metal cage surrouned by Fire.

Joe addresses the crowd to explain last time, they saw a mighty wizard slain by an invulnerable demon. It had no intentions on killing anyone but Bob, and muttered the name of Fred upon death. It was only with a precise spell of releasement of bonds that Joe was able to cast that allowed the demon to break free from his task - but in doing so he's afraid the demon is now lose in Brittiania - and soon will create havoc unless they unravel the mystery as to why he is here, and solve the age old mystery how to get rid of him. The city guards did find Fred here drunk in an inn one night, laughing manically that his torment was finally over.

Joe : You are Fred, are you not?
Fred : Yes, I am.
Joe : Tell us what you know about Bob
Fred : Bob, oh what do you want to know you already dont? He is the pioneer of the Necromantic arts. You know that
Joe :Yes, I know we have him to thank for his great studie sin Necromancy, but what do YOU have to do with him
Fred : I am..his, apprentice.
Joe : His appreentice? That is all
Fred : NO! That is not all. I at one time was also a studier of Necromancy. I...I was unable to continue the studies. I worked under Bob
Joe : ( Walks to the body and stands next to the Parchment): What is this parchment then about a Life Debt
Fred : That. Oh. Nothing
Joe : * Pulls out a book * I found this book in Bob's lab, located in Wind. Should I read it aloud or you explain
Fred : Very well. Years ago, when we were competing scholars studying Necromancy, I traveled deep into Wind, and was immersed in gathering reagents. WIthout reazing it, a dragon found me and attacked. I was barely able to get off any decent spells to protect myself. I eventually vanquished the monster, but was too injured and weak to heal or move. Bob found me. He gloated over my incompetiance to be safe. He jeered over my misfortune. I begged for help, what little breath I had left was for begging for mercy. Thats when he proposed it. That...Life Debt. He would save my life, but only if I would work under him and give him all my research and time left in this world to fnish his studies. He bound me to never harm him otherwise, and it's been this way for years.
Joe : Bob did what? Not believable
Fred : Believe it! That's why...thats why I spent what little time I had to myself in devising my revenge.
Joe : And so what was...was that abomination?
Fred : A Etheral Demon
Joe : ... So, it was an Etheral Demon.
Fred : Yes, but it's too late now that anything matters. Revenge is mine. Bob is damned for eternity, my debt is paid
Joe I'm afraid not. I arrived just in time to release the Demon from his task
Fred : You did what? No! HE WAS SUPPOSED TO FINISH HIS SINGLE TASK
Joe : I'm afraid I recognized what fate was awaiting Bob, I could not allow it.
Fred : ...So, he was simply released?
Joe : Yes, and you're going to help us send him back, as you are aware he roams free
Fred : Not exactly free. * He pulls out a necklace * IRS, COME SET ME FREE

* Now the pbulic is no doubt bored with all the dialoge *
* GM has turned off the guard zone by now *

IRS appears in flames "Master Fred, you command I obey" and Fred appears out of the cell.
Joe : Guards!
Joe : Guards !
IRS : Save your breath wizard!
Fred : IRS, hold them here while I escape, do not kill them unless they hurt me or you!
IRS : Yes Master
Fred makes a run just anwwhere
Joe : STOP HIM!

By now, the demon just walks aroudn and laughs. Hopefully people will attack him and he will attack back, otherwise does nothing. Fred of course is blocked by the public, he will start to attack. Many Skeletal Demons will spawn, maybe an Shadow wyrm or two. The public must kill Fred

Once they do, the demon laughs "FREE AGAIN!" and disappears.
Joe goes to the body and emotes *Yanks a necklace off Freds neck*
Joe : Thank you citizens. * stares * I was afraid of this. This here is an Etheral Talon on the necklace. The guards didn't notice it right away, it looked like a normal necklace. Once he learned we didn't defeat the demon, and it didnt' fulfill it's Task, he knew he could summon it again to do his bidding. However, we have now lost our main source in information to rid ourselves of the demon.

Everyone, please meet me back in 2 days here, same time, hopefully I'll have some directions and answers on what our next steps are.

Meanwhile, log in and play IRS, and attack and kill only people that attack him. Those that do not attack and try to talk, the demon will also talk. Summoning Skeletal Knights at times to drive them away after he's irratated.

Part 3 : The Investigations

Back at the Yew Courts, Joe appears. He has analyzed the necklace and opens a gate to the Empath Abbey (where the guards are turned off) where they find damaged books in one of teh four rooms, one titled "Etheral Fortress". Skeletal Knights appear, and a shadow wyrm. The demon comes and taunts "Do not waste your time, I am free and will remain so at all cost!". The people dispose of them while Joe screams to protect him as he finds what he can in the books.

When over, he states they must now travel to the Etheral Fortess in Ilshenar. Once there, they find another book, titled "Summonings" where again the demon appears, this time with double monsters as last, and a skeletal dragon that the tamers will hate (Makes tames go wild). He warns them not to meddle with his occupancy in our lands and leaves.

Again Joe isn't much help but everyone kills the beast.

Joe tells them he found what he needed, and now theres only one more stop - the large statues on a bridge outside skara. He can gate portal them there from Yew Prison or walk there from Skara, either way. Once there he finds that chest nobody can open, and surveys it, and the statue. In doing so, The Demon shows up angry claims he warned them, and summons the same amount of monsters but this time kills a few people himself before going away.

Then Joe thanks them for protecting him as he did his research - and to meet back in 2 days time again in Yew Courts - where he believes he will have the final plan

Next few days, the demon raids more. What fun.

Part 4 : Vanquishign the Etheral Demon

Everyone shows up. Joe explains he has found a solution. The demon is invincible as so long as his task are unfulfilled. Well, he only had two - deliver Bob to the underworld, and release Fred from Jail. He was released from his task in the first one, which allowed him to remain freely in our lands. However, he was invincible since he didn't have to finish his task. Now, being forever damned wasn't exactly the right comprimise to get rid of the demon, even though Bob was bad. He explains they must put Bob to rest THEMSELVES first at the place where IRS Was summoned - which a gate opens to the HEdgemaze. An abbitor and four pentegrams exist with a gravestone inside the area.

Joe explains that eternal damnation involves ones soul never staying with their body. The soul of Bob is most likely in the area, but can not find it's body. He ask for volunteers in the crowd to sacrifice themslves to find Bob. Basically, they must commit suicide, and go out into the hedgemaze and find Bob, and lead him to his grave. Now, Bob hoenstly wont be far. His ghost will be not too deep in teh hedgemaze and will only say "Help me find that which I seek", and will follow other ghost.

Bob hopefully has GM SpiritSpeak so everyone can understand him. He will thank them for binding him back to his grave and disappear. Joe quicly warns everyone that the demon will now be vulnerable to attacks HOWEVER he must be destoryed in the aera he was summoned and only there. People must stand on all four alters, and Joe will go in a Trance to summon him while standing on the abitor. If at any time anyone stands off the pentegrams, Joe will regain conciousness and tell them to get back on. The fun part - the demon is ONLY visable when all four alters have at least one person on them. He will attack anyone at will.

He will PULL people off the alters to him, kill them, and others must stand on the alters. As you can see, someone has to be in control of IRS. When he reaches half life, skeletal dragon or two spawn to make dragons/mares go wild. Again when he is 5% life.

When dead, phat booty pours out, Joe awakens, and everyone is happy. The ghost of Bob and Fred may show up and thank everyoen as well. Bob may apologize for his greedy actions, and Fred will apologize for unknowningl putting to risk everyone's life by summoning the etheral demon.
