"The Virtues are threatened"

927 596 -80 Ilshenar : A Camp set up, book saying that the gargoyles have demanded him to leave the city, as they are barricading themselves off from the rest of the world in an attempt to prepare or avoid the next prophecy, which is absurd since you can't stop prophecy. They feel I have much more to learn from them, however there is no time left.

I don't know exactly what their prophecy fortells, as they wish to be a very secretive bunch, however they claim there is great uncertainty, which doesn't sit well with their elders. The only details I can ween from them is the event that forshadows this prophecy is a rip in the foundation of beliefs with the gargoyles, which I can not understand yet.

Even so, I will set out in the morning, and perhaps check the Gargoyle Shrine of Virtue to the Northeast

1050 416 -80 Ilshenar : A Book

I seem to be the bystander in a most puzzling turn of events as of late. As I made my way to the Shrine, I saw lights through the night sky, and heard loud sounds, perhaps explosions comeing from the east. Thankfully, there were large boulders and rocks here to hide amongst, but I crept closer to try and see what was going on.

I saw a group of evil mages exploring the shrine, gaurded by what seems to be a large group of undead. The explosions were the mages s trying to damage the shrine, possibly tear it apart, but it proved beyond their capabilities. Just when it seemed they were going to lose interest and leave, a large group of Gargoyle Destroyers flew in and a large battle ensued! In the end, the Gargoyles defeated mages and undead, and drove them back to the east. A large familiar Gargoyle, Draxinum, came and stood in the Shrine, and stationed guards around the area.

I approached Draxinum when it looked safe, who was startled to see me, but thanks to my time with them they were not afraid or concerned. Then when I walked up to the shrine, I noticed a very large fishure in the marble that wasn't here before - and it seems it appeared a week or so ago which is the first sign of their impending prophecy. When I asked whom the mages and undead were, he said that thier prophecy wasn't one exclusivily interesting to the gargoyels, but the entire populance of Ilshenar - and those people were an old group of land barons that were looking forward to the up and coming possibly of the prophecy and wanted to be able to capitilize on it.

The Gargoyle also warned me explicity, that they seem to know a human has spent time with them, long enough to be able to speak gargoyle, which would be myself. And that the mages were calling out to find any humans and capture them, as they wanted the one with the Gargoyle Knowledge. I swore to Drax that I would never reveal what I know about them, and he believed me, but inssted it wasn't entirely safe for me to travel in teh open anymore, and suggest I travel only at night, and if possible, alert the leader of humans. I didnt' have the heart to tell him Lord Briish is no longer with us, but I will seek out the Commander of the Royal Guard, whom I believe is Archimedes the Old.

My next stop will be the Gypsy Caravan that is to the far North East of the passage back to Ilshenar I need to take to the southeast tomorow.

The Gypsys were quite happy to see me, but ushered me into their caravan very quickly, in an effort to make sure I wasn't seen, by whom, I can only assume the Evil Mages. Word seems to have traveled fast, as they procured a leaflet that was stuck to their doors early the other morning that read "1,000,000 Gold Reward for Information on Whereabouts of the Human that Speaks the Gargoyle Tongue".

The Gypsys claim that I have nothing to fear, as the mages have never kept their word on any rewards and believe turning me in will only end in themselves dead as so not to leave a trail back to me for whatever important reason they wanted me. They were curious as to what I know of what's going on, so I told them that the Gargoyles have barricaded themsleves in their city, and their Shrine was damaged due to what I believed was nothing more than seisemic activity.

A few of them looked at one another, and asked if I knew the history of Montor at all, and I claimed I knew very little, but that Gargoyles used to live there. They confirmed, it, and claimed they left long ago due to some fulfilled prophecy that came to be, and that the discovery of other lands via the moongates at the Gargoyle Shrines was the fortelling of yet another Gargoyle Prophecy. I fuond it very interesting they refered the shrines as Gargoyle Shrines, whereas since their discovery it was found they corresponded or very own virtues, they assure me our virutres are so similar, it's no surprise our assumption was easily made.

I admit I feel better knowing these people dont' trust the mages, however it concerns what what I may know that warrents them wanting me, if only perhaps somethign as simple as translate somethign for them, or worse, extrapulate whatever I may know to hurt the gargoyles. I am afraid I don't know enough to hurt them intentionally, and I can't see what would be so wrong with Translations, however I wish to get back home without meeting these mages or their undead army.

I plan on taking a long journey to the south to get home, my maps tell me I will be going through some cold regions, and I'm thankfull the gypsies here have some clothes I can buy from them.

I hide back here in the moutnains, as I swear I heard voices while traveling through this icey passage, and fear it could be the mages. As I read my map, I realize I am going near the passage to reach Reg Volumn, which I hear is a depository of ancient knowledge! It may be interesting to check the area out, and see if I can learn anything about the history of Ilshenear concerning the first prophecy of the Gargoyles, or more informatino about the second, so that I know what to expect from this third.

First things first, I need to avoid whoever is in these mountains, I ...I think the voices are getting closer....

1450 571 -19 : Build a Magical Barrier and LOTS of Undead Spawn. This passage has been sealed off. Players must travel through Chaos/Montor to reach the City of the Dead on the other side.

1467 528 -17 : Build a Camp and a short book detailing that some adventurers were goign to the North East Dungeon, the one in the deserts, and found the undead armies have blocked the bridge. Their map tells them the only way to this dungeon now is through the city of Montor, which they fear could be quite a bit of trouble. However, the rumors they have heard from the evil mage camps they invaded suggest something powerfull is up and coming, and they believe the answers are within the dungeon

1513 545 60 : Put a Book in the chest, by evil mages, detailing the the gargoyles prophecies have not failed twice, so the third is safe to assume be true. They did find a manuscript duplicate of their prophecy but they can not translate it. Rumors have spread through their spies in Trammel that a man was given the task to learn as much as he coudl about gargoyles LONG ago by Lord British, and this man was later stationed in Ilshenar to study with them after the passing of the 2nd prophecy. It is imperative that the man be captured - ALIVE - to translate the text.

He has been captures and is being held prisoner on the premises, and in an effort to keep him and remain isolated from the rest of the people of Ilshenar in case any come looking for him, the bridge to their palace has been blocked off and a great many of undead stationed there to prevent anyone from staying in the area.

They have plans in the future to assisst keeping the gargoyles under control as well, even though they have alreay barricaded themselves in, that may not be enough.

The Prisoner XX was brought here, and is being moved to the dungeon for interogation. They have barricaded the bridge, and the inner dungeon has been blocked as well. The password to get back the first checkpoint is "Imertia"

1524 534 35 Ilshenar : There's a portrait here, put an oracle here that when it hears the word "password" it says "Clervinia"

2102 78 -27 : Ilshenar : Put a Wall here, and a magical door on it. the Word "Clervinia" will teleport them to the other side, and another oneway moongate back.

2124 36 -27 : Put a sign on the wall "Interogation Room" Inside the Room create put an NPC in the back corner, named after our Explorer. The players find a book outside the cell "To whoever finds this, my captors have thrown me in here to die, after I didn't reveal my information to them about the gargoyles. Please inform someone in the Royal guard that I am locked up in the Interogation Room, I'm sure they can save me!"

This is where the event is actually over, after the players report it on the BNN house.

However, some will go into that other Dungoen thinking to look there. Big Shocker!

2148 143 -27 : Break these doors, maybe put lots of rubble in front. Stick a Comm Cyrstal in the front. When the word "Imertia" is said, the player will teleport to the other side of the door. On the other side of the door, put a ONE WAY moongate back to the toher side, and sticky it.

2122 164 -32 : A Diary on the table that talks how the mages and executioners have 'guard duty', and the mages saw fit to seal off the inner dungeon to prevent their work from being interupted, and they are not sure how the mages on the inside are communicating with those stationed on the outside.

2172 115 -32 : Create Evil Mages here. A Book on the table that is titled about a meeting between THREE MAGES (Names from Wisp Dungeon) that talk about their unending battle for suprecemcy, which doesn't seem to ever come. They believe Ilshenar is big enough for them all, and they have settled on what is their for the time being, adn they are not so as bad as the others or something.

He then goes on how it seems the Gargoyles have been on the move lately, for reasons unknown. Reports show Montor is in Peril, which is very odd as X talked about hearing of a prophecy long ago that the city would fall, and the gargoyles would move. It's come to pass, and they want to know how they predicted such a thing. XX talks that they have more than one prophecy, and that he and his men will try to capture a caravan goign to the new city if possible.

They have lost many men, but someone was smart enough to use a polymoprh spell and get near their things, and INSRCIBED a very odd parchements. They can't deciper them.

ANother prophecy was talked about, from the meers though, that do have limited talks with a Gargoyle. They spoke of a new race of humans coming to their land to save them, from what they were not sure. Truth is, nobody has seen the gargoyles in a ery long time, wherever they went it was in isolation.

The next prophecy has come true, as an evil known as Blackthorn came to their land, and was observed as rising to power and trying to enslave the gargoyles, but humans from another land arrived and saved many of them, and their city.

Now, more than ever, they wish to translate this parchment. Rumor is it a man from these new lands dedicated his life to studying the gargoyles, and upon visiting him they learn he doesn't know the language. However, they will try and keep an eye on him.

They hear rumors that another prophecy comes from the gargoyles, but only rumors and conjecture. They are yet unable to deal with the parchments. Reports come in that the gargoyle shrine has been desecrated in some manner, and men will be sent.

The shrine has undergone something very horible, as if broken in the middle. They tried to learn as much as they could, but were under attack by the gargoyles! They assume the new prophecy is about to unfold, and such. They learn from their spies that the man they been watching now can speak their language, and it's of the highest priority to kidnap him, and get him to tell all he knows. The Mages will interogate him best they can in the main chambers.

2126 63 -27 : Put a WALL here, and something ON the wall that the players have to double click to teleport to the other side, and another one way gate. This prevents a GHOST from going through the doors or saying the words and getting to the very very end, and with virtue skills, they would be able to ressurect and win without solving everything in the begining.
