Players must go there and fight some mega mean mage boss - hopefuly LOSE miserably - and then Caradon will tell the Royal Guard magencia is too heavily under attack, they must find out WHY, while him and Caradon try to reorganize the guards that left the city. He will tell them to search the city for information regarding this attack

I get all sorts of people in here. Just today two young adventurers came in asking for Ale, and plenty of it. I didn't think they were of age, however they insisted, and I gave it to them.

Next thing you know, they were falling over the barstools laughing like dolts. I kicked them out, cleaned up and called it a night.

Then while cleaning, I saw a robed man over in the shadows lurched over, as he had too much to drink. I asked if he was OK, but heard him muttering odd words as I got closer. He turned, and and simply sneered at me He didn't seem distressed, just rude - so thought nothing of it.

I can't believe how much we drank, and that tavern keeper kicked us out on our rear ends! Well, my friends decided to walk home for the night, and headed to the moongate, however I have a meeting early in the morning and decided to take refuge in the Inn.

I would sleep better the room would simply stop spinning. I hear someone out there muttering and talking to his foolish self. I banged on the wall to let me sleep, and next thing I knew an electrical current seemed to shock me through the wall! I ran out and looked around, and saw nobody here.

I swear, if this happens every time I go drinking, I'm going to leave a dry life!

Today, I tried to plant Cider, I don't know why, but I was really hopefully. I threw lots of reagents in the hole to! Scrolls, and some spellbooks an hour later. After 2 weeks, nothing, I realized I never once watered it.

I would try again, but I need what money I have left for some of that Ale from the barkeep, whom just granted me credit!

I ran into some young adventurers today, coming from the Moongate. They saw I was already starting my celebrations early, and asked where to get a drink. Well, I pointed them to the Tavern as best as I could.

I decided not to drink in their company right away, as they would no doubt make a mess of the place being so young and all, so I wandered a bit through town and went to the docks to soak my feet in the water.

I saw back behind there two men in dark robes, I didn't get the best of looks but I could swear they were Evil Mages! Hard to believe in Magencia of all places! They were brushing off their robes of something couldn't make out what, and I took off to the Tavern - to get some drinks just in case trouble was a brewing.

When he left, I asked what it was all about, and she said that he tried again to wisk here away to the castle - this time with promises that her life would be in danger here.

1330 1589 50 Trammel : A Sword and suit of armor of a Guard named Gilbert

I am so proud to be a Castle Guard finally, I worked so hard at the outpost around the city and wrote letters for so long, I could barely believe I finally made it! I do regret leaving family behind, and do miss my love. I often find an excuse to go visit her, claiming I need supplies. I fear she thinks this relationship won't work, but I must continue to try.

I work hard as I can here, and my work is being noticed! I have secured a small house in Britain for some friends when they want to come visit me, no reason they should have to stay at an inn with all the benefits working here provides. I just wish my love would try and move here.

 

1339 1589 50 : Trammel : Clothes are locked down

I saw the new guard that has been transfered in, he is so handsome! I cooked some fresh pie, took it to his office, and he graciously accepted, so gentelmen like, well groomed, I think he's available as I see no ring! * blush *

I took some fresh fruit to Caradon, the man I met yesterday, and he commented me on the pie. I sat and talked about his history with the Royal Guard, and he said he just transfered here from an outpost near Yew. Such a nasty place, with the orcs and liches nearby, which explains why he is so well built all around - oh my sister would be so jealous of my job!

So tonight, I was brave! I put on a short skirt and sleeveless shirt, and went looking for Caradon. He wasn't in his office -one of the gaurds told me he was out on patrol. Sadly it was late and we are not allowed around the peremiter, don't know why - nothing ever happens around here anymore.

I cooked a large cake for him today and took it to him. He asked me to sit down, and I knew what was coming. He told me he was flattered, however he is not interested as his passion lies with the Royal Guard at the time being. His rejection showed true Honor and Compassion. I fell more madly in love with him, but thanked him and promised I'll continue to be here to serve him, and in turn serve the Royal Guard.

Bob worked hard today, found mouse carrying cheese from kitchen, ate cheese for dinner and sent mouse back to get more.

Mousie not come back, Bob is sad. Went to polish cannons again, they shiny, because Bob work hard. Hard working Bob, keep cannon shiny to blow up invader into five thousand pieces. Bod thinks Fred can't count to five thousand, only because Bob can't.

Bob bumped in Jessica today. Jessica dropped her cookies, got angry and made Bob clean up. Bob just ate the cookies, and invited Mousie to join him. Mousie didn't come, yay for Bob!

Bob cleaned cannons again today, saw big man looking towards Graveyard. Bob asked if we should fire cannons at graveyard, but man say should fire east. I look to east, saw nothing dangerous in town. Bob confused.

I finally paid off one of the clerks to get me in this job. I knew these people were crooked, but I didn't know they were so cheap as well. I have settled in and gotten things taken care of so far here, I shall now go explore around and meet some of my coworkers.

The Commander of the Royal Guard is a weak I think, and his people to. What they need is to spend a full day simpling trianing! They drop their swords, mispronoucned their words of power, and treat their pets all wrong! I have talked with him about his problems but he doesn't seem to care, says that they are fine - that these people cost the realm nothing so the price was perfect.

Ok, I have seen enough here to make swine look clean. I wish I knew what I could do to change things, honestly, this is getting embarassing. What these people need is some real danger to confront, and someone to organize them better. I wish I knew what I coudl do.

Due to my lack of geting to duty on time, I have been laid off. I am packing and leaving tonight. I sure hope things turn around one day...

At the end of each day, I take comfort from up here, away from my men, alone with my thoughts. As I gaze out into the distance, I can see old memories, old friendships, and forgotten lore. I miss the times I had with my old comrades, I try to find some of the same adventure and brotherhood I had back then - I hope the new Job here can provide as such.

Again I sit here, but today with a fresh pie from one of the cooks. Such a fair looking lady, one would think she has a husband somewhere but I saw no ring on her finger. A fine cook, perhaps at another time I would be able to socialize more.

One of the workers here is a peculiar sort, even a simple man - whom I heard has a serious Feeblemind curse placed on him so many years ago - does take the most pride in his work around here. He is the one responsible for all these cannons being so bright I could comb my hair gazing into one, I commend him on his ethics. It's a shame the Mage Guildmasters can't lift his curse - but then I wonder would his ethics still be as strong with more of his mind intact...

I had to sit down and talk to the cook today, as I got the impression she was getting her hopes up. I look at her, and as much as I wish something could come of this, I understand it's best I am not in the position to leave loved ones behind, I can only protect so many that I care for.

I enjoy this office, I can finally work in some peace and quite and finalize plans for the Royal Guard without being distrubed. I have asked for some plants, to give the place some life, and can not complain about the lovely view outside the windows. I do wish I had a room on the Northeast side, where I can see where I used to work.

Priam Balifor left for the day, with the Royal Guard somewhere, asked me to stay behind as he's not just read to introduce me - which is fine, I need to get acquiatnted with my men here, and see the city.

Many things change, yet remain the same. The warriors of these days are happy to serve in the Royal Guard, yet many are here solely because it's something to put meaning in their otherwise dreary lives. I can see the passion in their eyes, the desire for more - but they feel they can't find it here in the ROyal Guard. So many men and women with great intentions, yet no focus.

A book :

I come walking in these empty halls, save the few chaos guards that have nowhere better to go, and ache for the old days.

I remember practicing with the training dummies, and dining with Blackthorn, and most of all challenging Lord British with the ideals of Chaos to build a better land.

I soon left Blackthorn, when he became mad and twisted for more power, he was a great man corrupoted beyond salvation, and I truely miss him.

However, his beliefs still hold merit. Chaos is better for strengthening our land, and I can see that the Royal Guard - with very good intentions, fall short of their true potentional.

I have searched and found 500,000 gold in the treasury, and have decided to revive the Chaos Army, and help make our land great and powerfull. However, first I need to show the Royal Guard they are weak, and unable to do what is required of them, and hopefully attract some of the more astute people to my ranks.

I will invest this gold, to those that followed us then, and will support the cause now.

My eyes I thought decived me, today an old college came down here. My men had to escort him, as they felt uncomfortable with an old aquinatance of mine that turned face on us years ago came late in the night. However, when he stated he was here to ressurect the Chaos movement, they knew I would want to see him.

He then opened up a large bag, and poured gold all over my desk, so much gold I had to jump back out of my chair before it pelting my bare feet! Over 500,000 gold he said, and all he wanted was us to start attacking Skara Brae. He knew we retreated deep down here so many years ago, however we have means of organizing our invasion.

I am to leave with two colleges tomorow night, and begin the attack on Skara right away. We also gave him some contact information if he had more gold, and needed more help.

It's good to see he has come back to us. I asked how I can find him, he said in our old quarters, and that he has reinstalled the old doors. I was embarrased to ask again for the password, impera he reminded me.
